Cyber Forensic and Cyber Security

Dear potential partner(s),

Thank you for your interest to work on Cyber Forensic and Cyber Security with us. In recent years, there has been an overlap in the Cyber Forensic and Cyber Security fields which has resulted in the two terms being used interchangeably. Although both terms work in cycles and use many similar tools, it is important to note the major differences between the two fields. Cyber Security is the process of defending and protecting information systems from harmful intrusions such as attackers, malware intrusion, misuse of the information systems, and systems outages. On the other hand, Cyber Forensics is the acquisition, collection, and analysis of digital information, known as digital evidence, to be used for legal reports. Cyber Forensics is a division digital forensics that involves investigating frauds and cyber crimes that happen while using any technology. The discipline includes related principles and techniques to information recovery but with extra practices and guidelines intended to produce a legal audit trace. When working in tandem in preventing future malicious activities from occurring in an organization, Cyber Security helps in securing all the information systems while Cyber Forensics helps in auditing technological damages.

With rapid technology advancement, the corporate field is now very dependent on technology, and they are using it increasingly to store confidential data and information. This global situation is also attracting cyber criminals who are interested to get access to these important information. Therefore, with the increase in the theft of data and information such as the Sony Email leak and Target credit card situation, concerted effort is required from Cyber Forensics and Cyber Security experts to work well together. Another raising risk is from the growth of data storage when more data being are being stored and made available through cloud-based services and mobile devices. More than ever, there is a need for Cyber Forensic experts to supplement the Cyber Security team and play a major role in helping corporate businesses recover from major cyber-attacks.

Currently, we are open to work with all good partners involving in the Cyber Forensic and Cyber Security revolution. If your are a conference / seminar organizer, you can even bring us in to talk to your clients. The only limit to a great partnership opportunity is your organizational imagination.
